IAF Fashion Convention 2022 to Focus on Climate Change, Education

The 37th International Apparel Federation (IAF) World Fashion Convention will host a conference under the theme of ‘Transforming Fashion Together,’ bringing together brands and retailers around the topics that are crucial to the industry and society, such as climate change and education. The event, which will be held from November 14, 2022, in Dhaka, Bangladesh, will feature the traditional IAF golf tournament, in collaboration with long term IAF partner American & Efird (A&E) on the first day.

As in all previous editions of the IAF Convention, the 37th edition in Dhaka is a joint venture with IAF member associations, in this case both Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) and Bangladesh Knitwear Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BKMEA), the IAF said in a press release.

Director general of the European Apparel and Textile Federation (EURATEX) Dirk Vantyghem, who is also a leading expert on Europe’s Green Deal legislation, will be the keynote speaker at the event.

Among this year’s sponsors are A&E, Veit, and Dubai Global Connect (DGC). While A&E is a leading sewing thread supplier, Veit is a top supplier of ironing, fixing, and pressing solutions for the apparel industry. With the growing importance of Dubai as a regional trading hub, Dubai Global Connect (DGC), an initiative of the Investment Corporation of Dubai, will also be present at the event.

The 37th edition of the IAF World Fashion Convention will be held at the Radisson Blu Water Garden hotel in Dhaka, Bangladesh.
